An expert in program management, data analytics, business analysis and custom development, Eric’s known for his pragmatic approach and his ability to leverage proven methodologies to get things done faster, without compromising quality.
During his nearly two decades of successfully integrating complex IT systems during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, he’s served dozens of companies in the banking, utility and auto industries.
Prior to founding 1Rivet, Eric was director of enterprise program management at Fannie Mae, director of enterprise program management for SapientNitro and spent as decade as a senior manager at Accenture.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA, where he enjoyed attending Nittany Lions football games.
When Eric’s not working you can find him jogging, skiing, woodworking and collecting vintage arcade games from the 1920s-1950s. A Maryland native, Eric lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, two children, and black lab, Basil.
Charlie brings over 20 years of experience working in talent acquisition, business development and operations. He continues to oversee these same functions as 1Rivet’s COO. He is passionate about making a difference with all of our clients and can always be found telling a potential client, “Just come and talk with my smart guys.”
Charlie is highly skilled at finding the perfect talent for the project – he will not stop until he has found the right person.
When his schedule allows him to, he takes great pride in experiencing first-hand the collective collaboration between our clients and 1Rivet teams. Charlie lives in Northern Virginia with his wife where he can often be found riding his motorcycle or chasing his four children around volleyball courts, football and lacrosse fields.
A global delivery executive, Derek has nearly 15 years' experience as a client services and engagement lead across a variety of industries including financial services, energy services, automotive and technology. He brings deep expertise in the strategy through the execution of mergers and acquisitions and is an expert facilitator of flash requirement sessions.
Derek is a culture-changer who brings energy and pace to the programs he oversees, helping 1Rivet clients to envision and achieve honest results, faster.
Derek’s downtime is typically spent globetrotting, on the golf course or exploring the streets of New York City where he currently resides. Derek holds an honors bachelor of mathematics degree with a minor in risk management and business strategy from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
For over a decade, Andrew has specialized in IT staffing and talent acquisition, providing organizations with the people they need to complete projects on time and on budget. He makes life easier for hiring managers by blending information about their technical, business and cultural needs into a custom organizational profile. That process enables him to find the perfect hires for a single position or a large project.
Andrew is a charismatic leader with expertise in starting and building staffing firms and has a deep network of contacts. He’s comfortable going old-school and picking up the phone to call people or pitching in on development, which he did for 1Rivet’s groundbreaking 1BullsEye app for sourcing, placing and managing job candidates.
Before coming to 1Rivet, Andrew was a regional director running multi-office teams for Mondo and a director at Sparks Group, where he focused on business development and managed multiple sales professionals with a single goal of expanding market growth. In those positions, he served a multitude of enterprise-level, midmarket and growing organizations in industries spanning digital, retail, education and technology markets, as well as the nonprofit and government sectors.
A graduate of West Virginia University, Andrew currently resides in northern Virginia with his wife and two children. When he’s not pursuing niche talent, Andrew enjoys competing in triathlons, off-roading in his Jeep Wrangler, deer hunting and reeling in striped bass from the Chesapeake Bay.
A dynamic financial professional with extensive accounting, management and leadership experience, Jennifer is known for her strong ability to define and direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
Before joining 1Rivet, she was principal of Alden Accounting Services, Commerce Township, Michigan, where she provided key consulting and accounting services to closely held corporations, retailers and nonprofits. Prior to launching Alden, Jennifer managed the internal quality control program as a tax and audit accountant at Jenkins Magnus Volk & Carroll, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. As chief administrative officer of the nonprofit Orchards Children’s Services, she helped raise millions to better the lives of children in metro Detroit.
Many community organizations have benefited from Jennifer’s volunteerism. She’s set the fees, balanced the budget and grown membership while working as treasurer for the Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Centers’ dance company, the Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis Swim Club, the Pleasant Lake Elementary PTA and the Walled Lake Central High School marching band.
Jennifer received a BA in business management from Albion College, Albion, Michigan. She lives in Commerce, Michigan, with her husband and two Shih Tzu-Maltese dogs, Charlie and Lily. The Fullers love to travel, but also enjoys vacationing locally. During the summer, the Fullers and their four children sail and walk the shoreline of “the quiet side” of Michigan on Lake Huron, where a lack of cellphone service makes for peaceful vacations.
In his 14 years working at the intersection of audience and technology, Krishna has lead large-scale integrations of systems and data, managed content across omni-channel platforms and worked with some of the best-known brands including Nike, Western Union, Verizon, Sprint, ADT and Harvard University.
His global leadership experience driving technology excellence grew from his love of design and development challenges. He still likes to jump in and write code when challenges arise. Krishna enjoys mentoring and building highly efficient teams, both in the United States and in India. Before joining 1Rivet, Krishna was a senior technology manager at SapientNitro and a senior technology delivery manager at Fannie Mae.
Krishna loves to spend time reading business and technology books and playing and collecting figurines from shootout games. He lives in Ashburn, VA, with his wife and two sons (one human son and one furry son, a Yorkiepoo). Krishna holds an honors bachelor’s degree in mathematics and an MBA in information technology from Symbiosis International University, India.
Randy has over 15 years of experience helping companies translate their strategic technology initiatives into solutions that grow revenue and improve operational efficiencies. He specializes in building multidisciplinary teams to convert business vision into pragmatic technology solutions.
Prior to joining 1Rivet, Randy served as director of client services and delivery at SapientNitro, a top-tier digital marketing agency. Collectively, he spent seven years leading technology and digital marketing initiatives for clients across North America in the consumer retail, telecom, and energy services industries.
Prior to SapientNitro, he spent four years in executive leadership roles in sales, finance & operations at TELUS, Canada’s second- largest telecom company. Randy started his career as a software engineer working for various startups in San Francisco.
Randy holds an honors bachelor of mathematics degree in computer science from the University of Waterloo, in Ontario, and an MBA from the Ivey Business School, London, Ontario.
As chief strategy officer, J.P. Foley continually moves 1Rivet forward by spotting emerging technology and industry trends then diving deeply into client challenges to find opportunities to create meaningful change.
J.P.’s corporate development abilities have been honed by 25 years as a business and IT consultant, advising numerous emerging and Fortune 1000 firms seeking to leverage technology disruptions and industry evolutions.
Before joining 1Rivet, he founded, built and exited two successful IT consulting firms: IBC, a Dominion Business Solutions company and Washington Consulting, Inc., an Alion Science and Technology company. J.P. previously spent 12 years with large consulting firms, culminating as a partner in Andersen’s regional Advanced Technology Group.
During those endeavors, J.P. gained a reputation as a successful IT entrepreneur, advisor and partner. He understands how to launch and grow businesses, provides thought leadership and builds great teams within high-growth sectors.
His dedication to fair play led him to fund a socially responsible sports management company startup, Complete Sports Management, dedicated to improving the amateur and youth sports event management ecosystem.
J.P.’s ties to Virginia run deep. On weekends, he travels the Washington, D.C. region coaching or cheering on his four daughters’ lacrosse, swim, gymnastics and volleyball teams. Along with his wife, Dawn, he’s an active philanthropist for many local charities and community programs.
He’s a proud graduate and contributor to Virginia Tech, including founding an endowment for Leadership Tech and is involved with the Apex Systems Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Apex CIE).
ROSS COLOMB has nearly two decades’ experience working in the Facilities Management and Office Services industry. He excels at building sound, long-term partnerships with customers and key business executives by routinely delivering quality, cost-effective solutions.
Ross does a great job of identifying, recruiting and cultivating empowered teams who leverage enhanced process workflows and technology. He has a knack for developing talented employees by helping them recognize individual strengths and areas of opportunity and motivating them to achieve their career objectives.
Ross is a proven leader who implements sustainable solutions consistently exceeding clients’ expectations through effective delivery and management of their engagements.
A Louisiana native, he’s lived in Northern Virginia for the last 25 years after having served two tours of duty with the U.S. Navy. He and his wife currently live in Haymarket, VA. He enjoys playing pickup basketball at his local gym, an occasional round of golf and is a foodie who enjoys traveling throughout the United States and abroad.
MARCELO ESPINOSA has over 20 years of experience establishing strong customer partnerships through the development, implementation and management of outsourced IT, facilities management and office service solutions. He’s a hands-on manager, who enjoys working collaboratively with both clients and team members to ensure solutions not only effectively address areas of focus, but also seamlessly fit the culture of the organizations he serves.
Prior to joining 1Rivet in 2006, Marcelo worked for six years IST Management Services, and 14 years for IKON Office Solutions/The Ricoh Company as a regional/area operations manager. He aptly steered 600 billable resources servicing over 125 unique client locations with sales support, solution development, talent acquisition, delivery and strategic management for all outsourced solutions.
Marcelo has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from La Salle University. A Washington, D.C. metro area native, he lives in Bethesda, MD, with his wife and twin daughters. Marcelo and his family can typically be found surf fishing on the beaches of Fenwick Island or crabbing and clamming the back bay waters during summer weekends.
During his 14 years in IT, Hari has delivered multiplatform projects, including iOS apps, Android apps, Windows and web applications for Cipla, Ranbaxy, Lenovo, AstraZeneca, and Discovery Limited, to name a few.
Hari indulges his perfectionist tendencies when designing software architecture and managing projects that enhance UX. A driven entrepreneur, Hari launched two companies just five years after graduating from college.
When 1Rivet was seeking an offshore partner, Hari was impressed by CEO Eric Middleton’s drive. Eric appreciated Hari’s mentorship skills and encouragement of independence and creative thinking on his teams.
Hari graduated from the University of Madras in Chennai, India with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He received his master’s degree in information technology from the Asia-Pacific Institute of Management in New Delhi, India.
When he’s not managing project delivery, you’ll find Hari watching psychological thriller movies like The Usual Suspects or reading books on technology and fiction, including thrillers and Indian mythology. He also collects Indian philatelic stamps and has over 1,000.
Sid’s two decades of expertise as a data analytics strategist make him an essential component of 1Rivet’s team. He excels at evaluating problems from a business perspective first and as a technology executive second to truly understand clients’ pains and opportunities. From there, he architects and crafts a solution that’s people, process, data and technology in equal forms, then drives purpose-built solutions.
Sid is best known for getting to the core of extremely complex problems with creative, simple, cost-effective and elegant designs. His unique leadership tackles clients’ most profound data analytics challenges by harnessing the power of new technologies to move businesses forward.
Along with 1Rivet CTO Krishna Nair, Ghatak collaborates with technology partners and conducts training and testing in 1Rivet’s 1Lab, which creates cost-effective, inventive, pre-built frameworks and accelerators, maintains the company’s code library and conducts research and development activities.
A self-taught technologist with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Sid has built his career resolving profound data analytics challenges for Fortune 500 companies including Thomson Reuters, Time Warner, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Merck & Co. Inc. and Northrop Grumman.
He developed Villanova University’s Masters Certificate Program in Business Intelligence and served as a Subject Matter Expert for Hadoop, Tableau, SAS, IBM Cognos Anaytics, SAP Business Objects, Oracle Business Intelligence and Microsoft Business Intelligence.
When he’s not resolving complex data analytics issues, Sid spends his free time at Fredericksburg, Virginia, with his three children. He enjoys taking his family on long road trips, heading out to museums and flying drones.
